About Warriors in Heart
Warriors In Heart, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not for profit public charity, has become a world known presence not only in the United States, but, also in France, Great Britain, Australia, Spain, Netherlands, Brazil, Canada, and Germany since its inception date in July 2014. The distinctly unique mission of Warriors In Heart, Inc. is to target specialized long-term, PTSD/addictions inpatient treatment initiatives for veterans and first responders, provide comprehensive supportive counseling to family members, alleviate ongoing re-adjustment problems from combat to civilian life and present creative/productive solutions for people who have difficulty in these areas. This includes gaining meaningful and rewarding employment and to make them feel welcomed to society in all regards.
As the founder and President of Warriors In Heart, Inc., I have created a specialized, new, decisive and invigorating plan to treat veterans and first responders who suffer from war related injuries such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), co-morbid addictive illnesses, and chronic depression resulting from these experiences. I served honorably in the United States Army on Active Duty from 1985 to 1995. I proudly served as a Behavioral Science Specialist. My intense training to work in such a prestigious capacity was at the Academy of Health Sciences in Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I am a certified addictions clinician as well as an expertly trained addictions and mental health/PTSD interventionist. In order to meet our goals mentioned above, we will need strong donation support, invested volunteers and advisory board members, media outlet support, as well as stronger national recognition. Please help us help them. It truly is a matter of life or death for many. Our program will also be available to active duty service members who have been identified by the chains of command as needing acute care.
